At Croft Architecture, I have gained extensive experience working under the supervision of a registered architect, contributing to projects across several RIBA stages, with a focus on Preparation, Concept Design, Spatial Coordination, and Technical Design. My role has encompassed conducting site surveys, creating 3D models, developing concept designs, and producing detailed technical drawings for residential and commercial projects. I have managed planning applications, designed within conservation and listed building constraints, contributed to tender documentation and processes, and applied sustainable design solutions. I have also developed expertise in photogrammetry, 3D visualization rendering, and practice document standardization. My work has demonstrated proficiency in technical design, project coordination, and regulatory compliance, contributing to a well-rounded professional development experience
My experience during this period has significantly deepened my understanding of how to design in alignment with both local and national planning policies. Working on a variety of real-world projects, I gained practical insight into interpreting and applying complex planning regulations, ensuring compliance while responding to each site’s unique character and needs. This hands-on involvement helped me appreciate the importance of balancing creativity with compliance to achieve successful planning outcomes.

I have developed experience in heritage and conservation projects, working extensively through RIBA stages 1-4. This has involved preparing detailed technical drawings and documentation for Listed building consent applications, as well as conducting comprehensive historical research and architectural surveys. My portfolio encompasses a diverse range of significant historical properties, including various Grade II listed buildings where I’ve contributed to sensitive renovation proposals, properties situated within designated conservation areas requiring careful consideration of local architectural character, and one particularly noteworthy property designed by the distinguished and renowned architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott.
This immersive work experience has not only solidified but deepened my passion for heritage architecture, which I am eager to pursue further in my professional career. I particularly enjoy the challenge of creating harmonious spaces that accommodate contemporary living requirements. I strive to ensure these designs respect and preserve each building’s historic character and local architectural context.
